Boys and Girls Clubs of West Scarborough

If a young person needs it,
our Clubs provide it.

Through life-changing programs, community-based services, and relationships with peers and caring adults, Boys and Girls Clubs help children and youth develop the skills they need to succeed.

 

The Jr. NBA program is co-ed for ages 5-12. The program assist young players develop fundamental skills through fun interactive sessions. The program is designed to provide entry-level basketball program for young children 5 to 12 years old​ and provide a fun, active and healthy learning environment.

The program runs weekly for 13 weeks on Sunday mornings. It was created in alliance with Canadian Sport 4 Life/Long Term Athlete Development initiatives and is aligned with Canada Basketball’s Developmental Pathway. Practices are modified to be age-appropriate, simple and fun.

 
Details

  • Program will include age-appropriate equipment

  • Participants will receive a size-appropriate Spalding Rookie Gear or Varsity Basketball and a Under Armour Jr. NBA Branded Tech Fibre T-Shirt!

  • Player’s journal

  • Participants will receive a certificate/poster

  • Parent’s Guide

  • Team/individual photo

  • Energy snack

Benefits

Registration
  • Fall 2019 Session registration begins September 23rd at 4:00pm. Registration is online and first come, first served.
