Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED


First Aid & CPR skills are applicable in your daily life, both at home and at work to prepare you to act on, control and manage life´s emergencies. Before a professional responder arrives to help, you can make all the difference in helping someone in need. Emergency First Aid & CPR is a one-day course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the workplace or home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets OHS regulations for Basic First Aid. Duration: 7 - 8 hours. Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam Certification: 3-year certification in Emergency First Aid, CPR Level C and AED Recertification: 4–6 hours; includes CPR Level C




Standard First Aid & CPR/AED


First Aid & CPR skills are applicable in your daily life, both at home and at work to prepare you to act on, control and manage life´s emergencies. Before a professional responder arrives to help, you can make all the difference in helping someone in need. Standard First Aid is a comprehensive two-day course for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Meets federal and a variety of provincial/territorial regulations for Standard First Aid and CPR. Duration: 14 - 16 hours. Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam Certification: 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level C and AED Recertification: 14–16 hours; includes CPR Level C




Babysitters First Aid


Basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11–15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to younger children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Course also offers youth the training to promote themselves as a babysitter to prospective parents. First Aid & CPR skills are applicable in your daily life, both at home and at work to prepare you to act on, control and manage life´s emergencies. Before a professional responder arrives to help, you can make all the difference in helping someone in need. Duration: 8 hours. Completion Requirements: 100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam Pre-Requisite: Minimum 11 years. Certification: 3-year certification in Standard First Aid, CPR Level C and AED





Private / Workplace Training

Workplace supervisors and managers have the increased responsibility of taking all reasonable measures to ensure the health and safety of their workers. West Scarborough Neighbourhood Community Centre offers private First Aid & CPR training either in your workplace, or at one of our own locations, depending on your business requirements. Courses can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the workplace, staff and clientele.
