Club Information
West Scarborough Seniors’ Club provides a number of diverse programs for members aged 55+. We offer opportunities to keep fit and take part in a variety of social, recreational and health related programs. We also host several special events during the year, such as trips and lunches. Our goal is to provide programs that foster community participation, personal growth and over-all health and well-being. Anyone interested in our facility is welcome to drop-in for a free tour and a trial of our programs!

Programs Included with Activity Membership
Pilates offers a serene method to center your mind and body, leading to relaxation and the development of flexible, stronger muscles. This chair-based class incorporates both seated and standing exercises.
Yoga is a relaxing way to focus your mind and body to achieve relaxation as well as flexible and stronger muscles. This class is done in a chair and includes some standing exercises.

Seniors' fitness programs are specifically designed to cater to the unique needs and abilities of older adults. These programs typically include a variety of exercises aimed at improving strength, flexibility, balance, and cardiovascular health.
Our fitness programs include: Full Body Workout, Gentle Fitness, Body Blast, Sit & Fit, Flex & Tone, Cardio Core, Core Balance, Move to Get Fit, and Strength & Stretch.
Seniors' dance fitness programs offer a fun and engaging way for older adults to stay active and healthy. These programs combine easy-to-follow dance moves with exercises designed to improve strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular health.
Our dance fitness programs include: Cardio Dance & Weights, Line Dancing, and Dance Fit.
This class focuses on movements safe for those with Osteoporosis. This includes a variety of moves including cardio, muscle conditioning and stretching.
Programs Included with Basic Membership
This game not only promotes fitness and provides a full-body workout but also helps reduce stress and anxiety. In addition to fostering social interactions, badminton is an engaging sport that cultivates lasting friendships.
This sport combines elements from badminton, table tennis, and tennis, offering the advantage of a comprehensive full-body workout. While it utilizes a whiffle ball, making it not as fast-paced as tennis, it still provides equivalent health benefits.
Card games have a number of features and physical and/or social benefits especially for older adults. Playing cards can help to improve fine, gross and motor skills as well as maintaining and improving the memory. It's also a great way to make friends and relax in social laidback friendly environment.
Card games include: Bid Euchre, Euchre, Cribbage, and Bridge.
This game offers a fun method to keep your brain sharp, enhance memory, and enjoy quality time with friends. It also involves a friendly competition to determine who can play the most dominoes and maintain their train the longest.
We offer wonderful opportunities where participants can unleash their creativity through crafting. From knitting and crocheting to painting and scrapbooking, there are endless possibilities to explore. Whether they're seasoned crafters or just starting out, our program provides a supportive and welcoming environment for seniors to express themselves and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something beautiful!

The WSNCC operates on land that is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples.
