Leaders in Training

(L.I.T)

BGC West Scarborough's Leaders in Training (L.I.T) program is a flagship initiative offering youth valuable volunteer opportunities within our organization.

  • What Does L.I.T Look Like?

Applicants undergo an interview-based selection process followed by comprehensive training sessions spanning several weeks. This training equips them with the skills and knowledge needed to be exceptional volunteers at our BGC West Scarborough Summer Camps.

Through their Summer Camp placements, our L.I.T's gain firsthand experience in the responsibilities and expectations associated with BGC West Scarborough staff. They are afforded many opportunities to hone and exhibit their leadership abilities. At the end of Summer, eligible L.I.T's are encouraged to explore potential pathways for joining our team.

  • How Do I Apply?

The application process for our L.I.T program begins prior to the Summer season in April.

To explore further or apply to join contact our Youth Supervisor at youth@wsncc.org.
